Solid stuff. I was heartened to see your figures for R0 agree with what I found when putting together a table to compare COVID-19 severity to the flu, including by infection mortality rate.

The improving treatment argument seems particularly useful. Doctors are learning how to better care for patients. There are also massive incentives for pharmaceutical companies to find increasingly effective treatments as well. Meanwhile it seems reckless for anyone to throw infection parties (see crowded Wisconsin bars). We have to reopen, but life won’t go back to “normal” any time soon.
