It would make sense for a governor to say something along the lines of "the COVID pandemic has been tough, but so are we. This holiday season let's all celebrate what we have and connect with loved ones as safe as you can. The State of Florida is making vaccines and tests as accessible as possible. Visit [this website] for details. Our CDC has also published guidelines for getting through this together. They are available [here]. Please refer to them for practical ways to live in the midst of the most infectious variant to date. Initial data indicates that infections from it may be less severe, but it makes sense to take simple precautions like getting vaccinated or boosted and wearing masks when indoors near others. Much love to the healthcare workers saving lives every day. Hang in there everyone, God bless us all, and have a safe and happy New Year."
