Individual and social responsibility are not mutually exclusive, despite what many politicians and pundits might tell us. We must hold ourselves accountable for our actions AND call out the big polluters. Those intersect when we vote for leaders committed to accelerating the shift to cleaner sources of energy and electricity. For now the market will remain completely rigged as long as pollution isn’t fairly priced. When corporate and political figures fail to clearly explain this, they are just maintaining the imaginary “free market” system that is ushering in a mass extinction event.

Whatever about the poluting companies , I feel the comsumer response should be to try and avoid purchasing their products and try to purchase alternatives. As so many are state-owned entities, it is not hard for us. The aim must be to convince their citizens to boycott fossil fuel companies, oil, gas, & coal.
