I'd rather see what a-hole politicians stand for than to allow them to keep hiding behind gridlock. The status quo doesn't seem sustainable, and we are failing as a society to protect Constitutional rights and human life (see climate disruption). If the GOP subsequently passes legislation to hasten such failure by standing only for their wealthiest donors' short-term financial interests, voters will hopefully see them more for the frauds they are and vote them out. Or else as Charles commented force the GOP to consider policies that better reflect voters' interests.
