I don't necessarily disagree with your conclusion, and the evidence is compelling and sad. I'd still appreciate a clear definition of "police state." Google defines it as "a totalitarian state controlled by a political police force that secretly supervises the citizens' activities." I'm a believer in democracy and being specific with critiques of creeping autocracy.
